Record the connections before a match

Write down the requirements of both pieces of equipment. The aim is to know which information is missing before anyone gives a compatibility answer.

Identify the source for each value

Where a dimension or requirement is needed, record which manual, plate or qualified measurement supplies it. If it is not available, mark it unknown. Do not substitute a generic internet specification.

A practical question list

Some items may not apply. Ask the supplier or adviser which are relevant to this combination.

  • Attachment and hitch arrangement, including any proposed adapter.
  • Required hydraulic functions, connection type and documented limits.
  • PTO or other drive requirements where applicable.
  • Transport width, clearance and how movement will be arranged.
  • Required guards, ballast or configuration changes in the relevant instructions.
  • Which party will provide written confirmation for the actual combination.

Keep versions together

If the proposed implement changes, review the connection questions again. A previous answer for another configuration should not be carried forward without its source and applicability being checked.

Do not mistake a checklist for approval

Use the checklist to agree which technical questions remain open and who will answer them. Keep the applicable documentation and the written response together for the exact equipment combination.

A clear question is a useful next step.

Share the relevant unit reference and the question you want to discuss.
